Patience Adom Akuffo - Creche/ Nursery Lead Facilitator

Mrs. Patience Adom Akuffo’s teaching objective has been to mold the heart and mind of
children and the youth to follow the principles of the word of God to enable them achieve
God’s purpose for their lives.
Mrs. Akuffo is a highly qualified and experienced educator with more than three decades of
experience in diverse roles in the educational sector. She has a Master of Philosophy in Adult
Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with Sociology, Diploma in Adult Education, and 3-
Year Post-Secondary Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’. She also possesses a certificate from Living Word
School of Ministry, and Diploma in Children’s Ministry from Children’s Ministry Institute West
Africa.

Mrs. Akuffo began her career as a teacher and taught for many years at various levels of
education. She also became a Circuit Supervisor for a number of years. Later, she took on the
role of Officer-in-Charge of Osu Klottey Sub-Metro under the Korle-Klottey Municipality. She
has been a Library Coordinator and Early Childhood Development Coordinator for Accra Metro
Education Directorate.

In her over three-decade working career, she taught and counselled children and the youth,
liaised with schools, Metro Education Office and other stakeholders. She managed Circuit
Supervisors, office staff, headteachers and teachers in the performance of their duties. She also
supervised and recommended teachers for promotion, inspected private schools for
registration with the Ghana Education Service, and supervised their work, represented the
Metro Director of Education at various functions and organized training workshops for teachers
in both private and public schools in the Accra Metropolis.
Mrs. Akuffo is a team player and organizer, a good communicator, responsible and is able to
work without supervision. She speaks English Language, Twi and Ewe fluently.
