David Ernest Arko - Computing Facilitator

Mr. Arko is an experienced and versatile educator with a passion for fostering academic growth
and facilitating holistic development in learners. With a Bachelor of Science degree in
Information Technology, a Certified Desktop and Network Administrator, and a Teacher’s
Certificate ‘A’ he possesses a strong academic foundation and pedagogical expertise that have
propelled his successful teaching career.

He taught at Base Ordnance Depot Basic School and 5BN Basic School, both in Accra, for nine
years, helping to shape young minds. During this time, he skilfully taught a number of subjects,
including Math, Science, Physical Education, and Information and Communication Technology.
Through his engaging teaching methods, he cultivated a love for learning among his learners and
effectively conveyed complex concepts in an accessible manner.

Following his tenure in Ghana, he embarked on a new teaching adventure in Thailand, where he
taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) for five years, in three schools and two Language
Centres. In this role, he interacted with learners ranging from kindergarten to high school,
tailoring his approach to meet the diverse learning needs of the learners. His ability to create a
supportive and inclusive classroom environment enabled his learners to develop their language
skills and build confidence in their English proficiency.

His hobbies and interests include reading all genres of literary works, enjoying varieties of
music, body building and strength training exercises. He also likes football and various athletic
games. He enjoys playing video games whenever time permits. He is keenly interested in
Cybersecurity, and hope to gain an advanced qualification in that field soon.
